Knott’s for the Cure supports Susan G. Komen

Earlier this month, Knott’s Berry Farm kicked off its “Knott’s for the Cure” event – with a bang! They hosted speakers from the Knott’s team and Susan G Komen, as well as breast cancer survivors, a special heart healthy menu catered by Knott’s and a photo-op with breast cancer survivors on the Pony Express.

It was a day of up and downs. The stories were poignant, they were touching and they were filled with gratitude towards the Susan G Komen foundation and Knott’s Berry Farm because of their ongoing support for all the good they do.

From February 1 through March 31, Susan G. Komen Orange County and Knott’s Berry Farm are working together to raise money for breast cancer awareness, services and research by offering a special “Pink Ticket” and limited edition specially designed “pink” merchandise with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Komen Orange County. It’s an easy way to participate in Knott’s Berry Farm for the Cure while visiting the park.

Knott’s has created a supportive “Knott’s Berry Farm for the Cure” t-shirt that is available exclusively at select merchandise locations starting at $10.00 (plus tax) for adult sizes with proceeds benefiting Komen Orange County. It’s a great way to show your support for this worthy cause!

While in the park, you can also purchase a pink magnet, available exclusively at select Knott’s Berry Farm merchandise locations. After purchasing, place this magnet on the park’s commemorative pink magnet wall in honor of loved ones whose lives were touched by breast cancer. These magnets are available for $1.99 (plus tax) and ALL proceeds from the magnet sales benefit Susan G. Komen Orange County.

This simple purchase will go a long way for Susan G. Komen as they provide services in Orange County including education and early breast cancer detection, information and support for breast cancer survivors and families and funding for free mammograms for the underprivileged and uninsured (like me!). As a woman living in Orange County – without medical insurance – these programs are especially important to me because it means that me, my mom and others like us can still have preventive health care.

I invite you to help me support Knott’s Berry Farm for the Cure with a simple tweet using hashtag #KnottsPink. If you’re in Orange County, visit the park and support the cause through its various outlets.
